Even if they don't that team has gaping holes. The only team in the east that I think could do worse than them is the Islanders (for being average in the hardest division in the league).

Every time I check for the latest on the Bettman-Fehr talks it's always "they chatted a little, but decided to meet next week."

Next week, and next week, and next week...

These guys have no sense of urgency whatsoever. They should have met for 8 hours daily the day after the Kings won the Cup in June. Instead they waited until late summer to approach the subject.

The images of Bettman and Fehr in suits make me sick. So tired of their statements and positioning to the Canadian press. Just get a fucking deal done.

Fehr is also new to the NHLPA and won't want to get his ass bent over in his first assignment, so he's going to be incredibly stiff and drag this thing out for as long as he wants.

Both sides are assholes in these talks but I think the owners have more leverage. All the owners are already rich and established financially, the players not so much.
