Love how you have to separate your favorite rap album from everything else.

And by love I mean I completely don't understand why you would have to do that.

Ha it's cause it didn't make my list and I'm not a fan of rap really but I thought it necessary to put it somewhere because it's really really good.

He's a poor lyricist and his persona is laughable, but his beats can be fun.

Ok I can agree with you there. I dunno if good beats and bad lyricism can make a top 10 album for me, but I'm ok with that.

Well, it's also his rhythmic flow with the beats, his voice alone, plus some of the guest spots. It's just entertaining to nod to. Also, I haven't heard that much in music this far and it's been a prett slow year.

I would've said Joeybada$$ but I haven't heard his entire album yet. Dustin says Ab-Soul, and I need to check out Curren$y too. You have any suggestions?

I feel as though Delta Spirit's self-titled has been overlooked by the fine staff at AbsolutePunk.

Looking forward to The Gaslight Anthem and Propagandhi releases. Excellent year thus far.

Not really, I'm way behind as well. I just got done listening to some of the Big K.R.I.T. album, it sounds pretty good... and is $2 on Amazon today.

Any reason broden and paul didn't make lists? I seem to align with them most.

I resigned from the website a while ago. I might just write up a little blog of my favorite releases!

I'd argue the opposite. One of the best 6 months of music I can remember.
doesn't hold a candle to either halves of last year overall, but the releases that have been actually great would've topped a lot of last years lists.
