Love how you have to separate your favorite rap album from everything else.
And by love I mean I completely don't understand why you would have to do that.

He's a poor lyricist and his persona is laughable, but his beats can be fun.

Ok I can agree with you there. I dunno if good beats and bad lyricism can make a top 10 album for me, but I'm ok with that.

Well, it's also his rhythmic flow with the beats, his voice alone, plus some of the guest spots. It's just entertaining to nod to. Also, I haven't heard that much in music this far and it's been a prett slow year.
I would've said Joeybada$$ but I haven't heard his entire album yet. Dustin says Ab-Soul, and I need to check out Curren$y too. You have any suggestions?
|
11:21 AM on 07/03/12 | I feel as though Delta Spirit's self-titled has been overlooked by the fine staff at AbsolutePunk.
Looking forward to The Gaslight Anthem and Propagandhi releases. Excellent year thus far.

Not really, I'm way behind as well. I just got done listening to some of the Big K.R.I.T. album, it sounds pretty good... and is $2 on Amazon today.
