PRE-SALE OF SHIRT FOR LATE CASEY CALVERT

New York, NY – November 29, 2007 - This past weekend, musicians and music lovers worldwide lost one of their own: a fellow musician, an idol, and above all, a friend. In light of Casey Calvert’s untimely and unfortunate death (guitarist, Hawthorne Heights), an event that many in this community consider a disaster, To Write Love On Her Arms have announced they will be selling a new shirt in his memory with 100% proceeds going to Casey's widowed wife. While friends and family mourned, message boards all over the internet buzzed as fans commiserated and discussed how great a person they had lost. Jamie Tworkowski (founder, To Write Love On Her Arms) comments, “At this point, it’s pretty undeniable that Casey’s life touched a lot of people- there’s a lot of folks moved by this news. And there’s a wife who just lost her husband. The shirt is simply an attempt to build a bridge between the two, to invite this community to meet a need, and to show this woman that she is not alone in this moment. Her husband’s life meant a lot to a lot of people, and this is our chance to respond. This is what it means to be a community.”
