I'm not really sure how you can figure him as a historical figure without the whole God thing...

There's plenty of threads though for this discussion, like said above, probably the religious thread is the best place.

Jesus was an actual figure. There have been burial evidence stating that he existed. Whether you believe in the stature of what his existence is believed by many to have been is another thread

Would you rather I copy and paste the myriad of citations and relevant links from that page? Wikipedia is a jumping-off point that aggregates a number of reliable sources.

Actually If you would take the time to do that, I would take that over a wiki link. I have just had bad experiences with info from wikipedia and it being false.

Wikipedia is alot more regulated today in terms of removing vandalism and updates without valid citations. If you clicked on the page, there are 196 citations, about two dozen references, and a few external links for further reference.

I was going to say something similar. For the most part, Wiki these days is scary accurate.
