To anybody who loves watching TV, writing, and wants to get some practice in doing both. I'm jumping off the technology deep end, and starting a blog. Don't worry, I already know it's 'not cool' to have a blog, and how it'll 'totally suck.' Nothing crazy, strict, or formal, just a nice little site where I can talk about television, get some writing done in the meantime, and if people also decide to read it, awesome.
I got the idea from the AV Club, for the most part. I've always adored that site, more specifically their TV features/columns. The way they walkthrough entire seasons with show creators, 'A Very Special Episode,' '100 Episodes,' 'AVQ&A,' stuff like that, it's always entertaining, funny, and educational. So I got the idea of doing something similar, but just doing TV. Cool original columns, lists, even weekly current show recaps.
I've already contacted a few great Entertainment regulars about contributing to this, all of whom have graciously agreed to participate in some capacity or another. I know there are more that I've forgotten (sorry), and also who are maybe just hidden in the woodworks. So if this seems like something you'd be interested in, post in here, PM me, we'll go from there. Whether you want to shit all over The Newsroom, talk about how much you love Family Ties, or argue that TV was never really good after Green Acres, there'll be room for your soapbox.
Also, I've got the site up and running, I just want to fix and revise a few things before I post it in here for everybody to laugh at and call it shitty.
