Yup. Seattle has handed the Yankees yet another player that will continue to produce well and help them get to another world series while Seattle will continue to suck for decades.

Ben Gibbard can seriously do no wrong. Saw Death Cab last week and they were unreal. This is fun, can't wait for the solo album.

The Mariners needed to make this trade because let's face it they weren't going to sign him at the end of the year anyways and all he was doing was keeping the young players from getting any playing time. The Yankees are a good fit for him because they are full of veteran players who don't need guidance or leadership from him like the Mariners did and weren't getting. Optimistically speaking I see good things starting to happen for the Mariners even though they are still terrible. Eric Wedge is a good manager for building young players, the young players are starting to find their swings, and we have a plethora of great prospects down in the minors.

On a side note the Ben Gibbard song is awesome!
