When you hear that your ex is seriously talking to/hanging out with somebody who literally everybody who knows him/her says is a huge douchebag/slut. You want them to end up with somebody good, but it sucks not being able to stop them from shooting themselves in the foot, so to speak lol. They could at least pick somebody who didn't drop out of high school and isn't a total dead-beat on top of that!

And I'm not saying everybody who drops out of high school is a dead-beat at all. This dude and his friends are just the bottom of the barrel lol

I am. Going back to college in the winter, and I'm moving into my own place by September. I'm even leaving town for two weeks to just unwind. This just popped up, and I was interested in seeing if anybody else had the same feelings as me. We don't hate each other, so I would absolutely prefer that she ends up with somebody who actually deserves her. If that makes any sense lol. I like seeing her downgrade, but not that much!

There are a lot of kids down here who have dropped out and gotten their G.E.D., then went onto college. But the other like, 15% of them who don't, just really spiral downward. It's a shame, especially when all they had to do was show up.

We're still civil, and it popped up on my facebook thing, otherwise I'd have no clue. She's one of the most important people of my life so far, I don't want her to possibly fuck stuff up for herself lol

What do you mean? I'm just going off of what I've seen happen in my area, I by no means think that is how it is everywhere. It's just what I've actually witnessed around here

Edit: I think you might have been referring to the part about me talking about the people who got the G.E.D. and then went onto college. The downward spiral part was mainly in regards to the people who never even went and got the G.E.D. after they dropped out. I'm not saying everyone who doesn't go to college is going to end up in a downward spiral. There aren't many trades to get into in my area, so not having at least your G.E.D. really makes people desperate down here. I worded it kind of poorly in the original post. If that's not what you were referring to, please explain lol
