I'm not saying anything that isn't known. America is a melting pot. Conformity is a must. Having an outside culture is frowned upon. I'm not making this up, so I don't understand why you're angry at me. I have nice things to say about the US, but what I find nice about it you'll probably take it as an insult even more. |
We pride ourselves on being a melting pot, you can find a different country every ten miles, it's fantastic. I don't even know how that's a bad thing, you make it sound like you're the one that's all anti-culture.
This though:
Conformity is a must. Having an outside culture is frowned upon. is ridiculous. No, I'm not angry, because it's just so laughable. I'm Iranian, people are interested in my culture and people are always so open to trying new foods, learning about my culture, etc. You should see the eyes that light up when you say you're from a culture that isn't the common for where you live.
Let's be clear now, I agree that in the racist, ignorant, God-fearing rural specific areas of the Midwest or the South I totally agree with you. 100%. Those are some of the most ignorant places in the world, but no one's advising anyone to live there.
"Having an outside culture is frowned upon"
What the hell? From where I live all the way to LA and throughout, the majority of people aren't even white. Your comments are again, just laughable. It doesn't make sense.
Edit: "America is a melting pot. Conformity is a must."
^Are you aware of the meaning of melting pot? It means we have a ridiculous amount of cultures and heritages together, meaning that there is no such thing as a conformity, because a melting pot means everyone is different. That whole statement contradicts itself.
