Peter Jackson is using the plethora of material from the appendices of the book to flesh out the story. It's the reason he was even able to turn it into two films.

That being said, I'm against the idea of a trilogy. He clearly loves that world and working in it but it seems a bit much.

Could've made one fine movie. I don't see how the book's structure exactly lends itself to two movies, but I have faith. He's going to have to seriously reevaluate his options if it stretches into a third movie.

It'd be nice to see the Hobbit fleshed out, but dammit I don't want to have to wait three years to see te whole story. Also, I'm beyond excited for Jurassic Park because, well, dinosaurs.

Bummed about Gangster Squad being pushed back.... I was really excited for that one

I hate that The Killing was cancelled.

holy shit that part in the 007 trailer where bond jumps onto that train. fucking cool. so stoked on it.
