Panic! in March

Posted by: Anton Djamoos (12/12/07)
Panic! at the Disco have set a release date of March 25 for their as-of-yet untitled sophomore release. New song titles include "Nine in the Afternoon" and "Things Have Changed". You can read a Billboard article on it here.
ExcerptLyrically, Ross is moving away from sarcastic one-liners and focusing on "our situation now and how things are a lot different than they were on the last record," he explains.

No circus show this time around. That's good that they're focusing on stuff that will be more geared to a live performance since that was the most common complaint about this band.

Their formula worked. They weren't overly talented, so, like many other bands in this scene, I imagine they'll try to "mature" and fuck up.

I hope not, though, I could go for another pop romp like A Fever.

They were so good live on the Take Cover Tour, and then next time around I saw them it was focused on the theatrics and down went the musical performance. Hope this album brings back the old performance capabilities.

i always thought that panic was more talented than 99% of the bands in the "scene." am i the only one who thinks this? some of the instrumentation on their first album is great (or did they not play it?)

I actually went to one of their concerts (yeah, partially for them, but mostly because Bloc Party was opening for 'em. Too bad their drummer's lung blew out before I got the chance to see them =( ) and I was actually quite intrigued. Their circus set up worked out well.

They're going to lose teenage fans if he doesn't sing those witty one-liners about chuck palahniuk books...

The "mature" record is so cliche. Hope it works out better for them.

I agree but All Time Low tried not doing a mature album and look where it got them...
