Last night I went to the movies. The watch is hilarious btw. I just met this girl Beth, we decided to hang, and she felt like watching a movie so we did. Everything went great, cheddar popcorn the best thing ever. We had a few laughs, I took her home and that was it. I get a text a bit ago, asking me if I had fun last night. I said I did, and then she's like, "Oh, well you didn't try to make a move last night. And I was just kinda wondering if you didn't really like me."

I thought it was inappropiate to make a move on the first date, like as in trying to have sex with your date on the first date. So, I'm asking all the PL girls. Is it cool to make a move like that on the first date or is it disrespectful?

I would also like to hear if any guys here tried something on the first date and how that went.

Every single thread is pointless haha I made this because I wanted to have a better understanding on what I'm asking. This thread will be able to provide me with alot more points of view as opposed to just to posting it in the advice thread. But, hey. I like your spirit and I feel you. I'm a dude, but I'd say you did the right thing. You could have made a move, like went in for a kiss or something, but to push sex on the first date is not cool. Sure, you might find some girls that will put out on the first date, but if you are looking for a long term relationship, you're not going to want it with one of these chicks.

She probably asked you that because she's used to having the moves put on her relatively early. That doesn't make it the right thing to do. You did the right thing, you respected her. If she doesn't know what respect is, then that's just too bad. It generally is a bad idea to put the moves on a girl on the first date. She'll automatically think you're only after one thing, this girl obviously didn't think that, so her psyche is fucked. Just tell her you like her and go from there.

I personally wouldn't want a dude to try to f*ck me on the first date, but people are different. Nothing wrong with it if the girl is asking for it.

I don't mind "moves" on the first date, like a kiss or something. I'll say the guys I've dated have all refrained from kissing on the first date, except the boyfriend I have now.
