I mean I wish they had the ability to do it - but I find that the subject matter is much better suited for an extended mini-series or HBO, Showtime, etc.

Other than a larger budget, I don't understand why you think a pay cable channel would be such a better fit. Or is that why?

Well primarily, yes. Not just from a productive stand point, but utilizing the funds to get better people (actors, show runners, etc.) to achieve/enhance the final product.

I also think the the premise of a post-apocalyptic world with competing militias lends itself to some mature subject matter/extensive violence and as is such, I think taking it off the powder puff channels is a great idea.
