I think his style of music is complete garbage but I respect his hard work and dedication and a congratulations is well deserved to him.

He should give some of that money to FFTL

I gotta give it him though. I've followed his music career for a very long time - about eight years now. And he truly did work hard at every single thing he did. He's a sincere young man who has yet to let fame get the best of him. He doesn't sell the rights to his music to any product who comes knocking and he really does seem to do it just for the fun.
Whether or not people enjoy his hybrid brand of dub-step, you've got to admit that he really did earn every penny of his success.

This surprises me considering BMTH only did shows for half of last year.

I think he deserves the money he gets, he's really good at what he does — only question I have is: where are we going to end? Why are bands being so ignored? What's wrong? How could we get to the point where people would rather see a dj instead of a hard working band?

I don't like his music at all but his interview on Pitchfork made him seem like a very down to earth guy

Still, I'll never forget how god awful his set was on the AP tour back in 07 or 08 where he was just "Sonny"

Because electronic music is being accepted by the mainstream. Mainstream is what sells. Doesn't matter how hard a band works. If they don't get on the radio there isn't a whole lot more they can go up.
