Growing up in Northern Virginia during the early 2000's, the band that EVERYONE in the scene looked up to and wanted to be like was Over It. I saw them so many times in several different rec centers and the vibe was always so good. When they moved to California everyone in VA assumed that they would get humungous because we loved them so much. Never happened. I do remember a few 'homecoming" shows they played back in VA though where it seemed like , at least to the people in those rooms, they were the biggest band in the world. And they really were to my friends and I. It's a shame the rest of the country never really caught on. Timing Is Everything is a criminally underrated pop-punk classic from that era. |
I remember seeing them at summafest & flipside. miss them!
