Yeah, The Matches were probably one of the most open bands out there but they did have a formula that worked for them. I just love that he's getting to try out whatever he thinks is great, which is why I love Mania so much. 80's inspired pop rock done the way it should be. |
I'm glad to see him exploring other genres. I do enjoy
Mania because it is a step outside of
his box and was executed very well, and that fact alone lends itself as to why I don't want Shawn to drop the band. The Matches are so high on my list of bands I want to reform (maybe first) that I probably just find it hard to like Maniac as much as I should.
