Sounds a bit more like new Dashboard than FSF, but still excited.

Yeah, if you took every single thing about the songs out except the vocals and made them acoustic ... then they'd sound like Dashboard. Kinda deflates your entire first statement with such a qualifier though.

Have to call bs here. TMID stood out because of its tempo shifts and complex song structures. In this regard, I consider Steve kleisath to be just as integral to the overall sound. Dashboard had pretty straightforward time signatures and structure.

Lol, the only similarity this has with Dashboard is that Chris is on vocals.

I know this because if this were Jason on these tracks nobody would be running to Dashboard comparisons saying "these songs would sound like DC if they were completely stripped down"

people are always going to say this just because Chris is doing vocals.
Fine - this is fsf's blue sky noise. Is that more palatable?

You're going to have to explain what you mean by that.
Meaning TMID=Juturna and Penny Black might = BSN in overall approach to sound and structure. Dashboard is simply the easiest reference point as to why this might be.

Let's not pretend FSF had complex structures.
