I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this guy seems like he wrote that scathing...uh...editorial? simply to be controversial. I guess he won that battle.

There is no meat to his argument. Hipsters will be hipsters. He probably listens to Yeasayers and Hot Chip and claims they are "ground breaking and genre defining" but in all reality they are just stealing and regurgitating every New Wave bands' overproduced sound.

Na, the guy is simply way off base and lacks any sort of resemblance of an argument based in facts. He wrote that to get attention, not to make a valid point.
