What kind of question is that? You should really think about what you say before you post it. Bill is a sweetheart and the music he makes is helping others and has relevance in other people's lives, including mine.
He's relevant as far as I'm concerned. I'd actually never listened to his music until a few months ago, and now I'm quite a fan. Got to see him live two weeks ago, he was pretty amazing actually.
What does that exactly mean? He's making music and touring and people are listening to and buying said music, going to shows and forming a fan community around his music. In that sense, yes, he is relevant.
I think what you mean is "this guy and his music do not appeal to me personally and is not relevant to my interests, does everyone else feel this way?"
Neat to see his personal meaning behind it, I love the lyrics of this song, and it feels for me, to be about letting go of expectations and so-called 'desires' to just allow yourself to be who you really are, with someone who accepts you for that. it reminds me a bit of the film garden state, which i love that movie..
