STYG is booked by one of if not the biggest agency in the US. Tours like this just put them in front of kids that otherwise would never go see them.

TUI, TGI, CBK, and STYG tour? I'd drive anywhere in CA to see that.

You do realize they just did the All Stars tour, toured a For Today / A Skylit Drive tour and did tours headlined by bands such as I See Stars and another by Senses Fail, right?

Outside of when they head off to Europe majority of their tours are with bands from completely different genres instead of bands more like STYG. It most likely stems from their label being Sumerian and them putting them on these tours so they can push STYG to more people but I wouldn't act like this is the first time it's ever happened.

Is hardcore alone not a draw?

It's easier for them to get dropped onto tours with popular scene/metalcore/etc. bands that draw big regardless. Pretty sure the thought mentality is "kids that don't listen to hardcore will finally be seeing it and the kids that hate all those other bands will still go to support one band" and for the most part it's true. So from a label/booking point of view it's usually a win-win for them.

I agree. Their album was very good, maybe an 8/10. Great keyboards.

Yeah, the singer has a lot of "bite" to his lyrics and delivery. I'm curious to see how the loss of their primary clean singer will affect this.

The "show up two and a half hours after doors and leave 45 minutes later" tour.

Good for STYG. They choose to do these tours on purpose. They want to reach out to a different crowd on purpose. It's great exposure.
