I didn't want to because I really wanted to wait....but I broke down and listened....it's pretty incredible. Really does have their entire sound from the years meshed into one. In Heaven Is A Ghost Town, very early career sound mixed in. It's very cool.

I think those who were disappointed in OMNI will really like this album.

i listened myself - i will be buying it august 28th - but i was a little disappointed by the first few songs, but the last half and 'Diamond Lightening' are SO good.

Id actually give this album like an 85% (going by the AP ratings ) - too pop-sounding to me in some areas, but the last half of the album totally redeems it.. i do like the back-to-the-old-stuff to the songs though.

i like it but i'd really like something more like highly refined pirates.

i really enjoyed them meshing their previous work in this entire album - they remind me ALOT of Every Time I Die how they incorperate different old styles to come up with something amazing..

i honestly havent given Highly Refined Pirates much of a listen though
