Under The Gun Presents: Interview with The Used's Bert...

Posted by: Drew Beringer (09/06/12)
Under The Gun sat down with Bert McCracken (The Used) and discussed the success of the band's most recent album Vulnerable as well as an upcoming 11-year anniversary edition of the band's self-titled album.
From The InterviewWe’re actually working on an 11 year anniversary edition. We thought that would be a little cooler and we have a DVD coming out and tons and tons of special things for the die-hard Used fans that were around in 2001 and 2002.

Hella.... One of the best shows I've ever seen in a tiny club. I didn't know what to think of the Blood Brothers at first but now their one of my faves.

I remember seeing The Used, TBS, H20, and Boxcar Racer back in 03' at The Warfield in San Francisco. Such a stacked show now that I think about it. Good times.

Awesome. Hopefully that means a front-to-back tour too... only if Bert screams though.

Has anyone read an interview where Bert discusses his vocal issues and how he can't scream anymore (ie does he regret it, what actually went wrong etc). I check out Berts interviews for that reason alone but the topic is never brought up

They haven't had a successful album since In Love and Death.

Yeah I wish I actually knew what happened. The internet has a few rumours - smoking, screaming inproperly etc., but nothing really concrete. Saw them earlier this year and they were good, but nothing compared to when you watch videos of them circa 2003.
