Don't not go just because you don't like the few new songs you've heard. Their setlists are always long and include plenty of old stuff. And if you've never seen them live... do it.

I wanna go to this, but it'll probably be ridiculously expensive. Especially since its at the MGM grand.

I don't see how a college would pay more? I used to book college acts all the time and got quotes for acts like Kelly Clarkson & Valencia. The price that the agency gives is usually the same across the board. You'll get a discount if you block book and, if anything, the price should should be a bit cheaper for a college or university.
