Abspunk is obvious but I'm looking for suggestions on any other similar blogs (not in the Absolute Voices solar system) where I can promote my band. We're small time and have no label, so going for a Rolling Stones or something like that isn't practical. I just want to put our music out in front of people. We're indie rock with room for deviating a bit left and right, a few more punk rockish songs for example.

If there are any people in bands who do this themselves or anyone else with good suggestions I'd very much appreciate it.

This is what you do: go out to the nearest mall or popular place around your city. Set up a boombox that has your song on repeat while the whole band does that gangnam style dance to the song. Have one of your friends not in your band hand out demos. Record the whole thing and put it up on your Facebook page. I'm sure you'll get a few 100 fans and a bunch of people to come out to your hometown shows.
