High Society - Human Condition
Record Label: Unsigned
Release Date: September 9, 2008
Who?

Debut EP from San Fransisco electronic rock band High Society (James Guttman on vocals, Austin Eittreim on guitar/vocals, Kevin Fields on drums, and Chris Jensen on programming).

How is it?

Taking their cues from bands like Breathe Carolina and Innerpartysystem, High Society tackles the electronic genre with a blend of catchy vocals and thumping beats in a full band setting on their debut EP Human Condition. With hits of dubstep infused with looping guitar riffs, the band shines on Fight Club-inspired track "Tyler Durden". Unfortunately, the EP feels a bit short with only three tracks and clocking in at just under 10 minutes. Perhaps adding a remix or two would help give the EP more of a cohesive feel. Overall, it's a decent effort for a young band that shows promise to deliver danceable tracks with high quality production and infectious vocal melodies.

Love this EP. If it wasn't for the Shit bands say video I would have never listened, but this stuff is definitely different for me.
