Goddamn. The democrats just ceded a whole lot of ground to the pro-life movement.

I hate all the pro-choice movement right now. They are falling over. The pro-life movement has so much more power. But Damnit. I sometimes think people will have to start dying from not being able to access safe abortions for people to wake up again. Biden made a great point about the courts though. Didn't follow through very well.

He told everyone that catholic hospitals don't have to provide any abortion support. Not even referrals. That's pretty shitty.

The pro-choice movement is too apologetic. They need to simply say: Women should be able get abortion on demand and for free.

The problem is the pro-life movement is passing all this legislation under the guise of the safety of the woman, that we don't know what we're doing, and they spin the people that get abortions are lazy, irresponsible, poor, and probably racist imaginary as well. Pro-choice movement needs to start opening up on who gets abortions and the vast array of reasons they do it for. I don't know, I can't think well right now, I'm all sick and shit.

Must have missed that part then.

It was all clusterfucked in there.

Being poor is a pro-life argument? That's...dumb...

That's the just image that is used for who gets abortion. It makes it harder for people to relate, especially since the policies they push for don't necessity affect wealthier women who have greater access to the services like they do to poorer women. That means they don't see the consequences as much. Again, I'm not in the best state to discuss all this at the moment. Hah.

Well yeah, but that one especially. Do pro-lifers think there is no cost to raising a child or something?

They either don't care about the child or think adoption will cover it all.

The whole framing of the abortion debate in terms of when life does or does not begin, and thus using that criterion in determining its ethical status, is fundamentally ill-conceived. A better argument is just to say that, in some cases, it's morally acceptable to take the life of an innocent human being.

Though, if we're framing it from a Christian dogma pro-life position no human being is innocent due to original sin.

They're already against abortion. Are you saying they're going to be... more against it, then?

Good, then it should be easier to kill a non-innocent fetus for them!

When they ban abortion again, I'll just make sure to use a vinager/holy water mixture to make sure the thing is baptized
