From "X-Files" writer and producer Frank Spotnitz comes this eight-episode drama set in the world of international espionage. Golden Globe nominee Melissa George stars as an operative for an elite private intelligence firm who survives an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team; when she returns to work, she doesn't know who to trust. The series is shooting in Europe and debuts this fall on Cinemax.
Other cast members include Adam Raymer ("Hawthorne"), Stephen Dillane ("Game of Thrones" "John Adams"), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Lost" "Strike Back"), Morven Christie ("The Sinking of the Laconia"), Lex Shrapnel ("Captain America: The First Avenger"), Uriel Emil ("Criminal Justice"), Patrick Malahide ("Five Days" "Billy Elliot"), Stephen Campbell Moore ("The Bank Job" "History Boys") and Oscar Kennedy ("Toast").
Premiered a few weeks ago on the BBC and debuts tonight in the US on Cinemax. I've watched the first 3 episodes and have enjoyed it so far. Positive reviews from AVCluband HitFix give a good gist of what to expect.
RIYL: Luther, Homeland, Rubicon, conspiracies and espionage
Might check it out just because I LOVE Luther. Hope that's not too misleading a RIYL
My RIYL are mostly based on the show's tone and visuals. Most people hear spy show and think Alias (especially with Melissa George) and this is not like that at all. It's a very slow burn kind of show with a complex plot. And since it's on the BBC a few actors that were on Luther appear in it.
Didn't think anyone would care about this on here but yh this a really good series, still need to catch the third episode but loved the first two. Talk some series arse kicking, awesome amount of tension and some cracking acting.
