I'm honestly not the best source. I never got into Almost Here like others did. I loved Santi, and I actually really enjoyed the concept album that followed. The few EPS they did before the break up felt kind of flat and uninspired, and I find his new stuff to be even moreso. I think he has talent, and I always click play when I'm given the chance, but something is missing for me.

understandable, maybe I'm just a bigger fan of simple pop melodies and think these songs are hitting that mark very well, not trying to push boundaries really far but rather perfecting the specific range. different strokes, different folks
