I think it's a great move for these guys to put something out before Christmas. They are free agents, working in the moment. There's nothing else that comes to mind before Christmas, so it will get a lot of attention. Plus it'll buy them some time before they get themselves together for another album (which I could see them continue doing EP's like this in favour of doing albums in the future).

Usually EPs have like 6 songs.. so my guess would be 5 or 6 songs. Or maybe something like 3 new songs, a cover or two, and a christmas song? I dunno, I'm just surprised they came up with good enough material quickly enough to announce an ep.

edit: just realized that the only ep they've ever had (They came to conquer..uranus) has 3 songs, I forgot about that. 3 songs would still be awesome though.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is what they did. But at any rate, it'll be interesting to see if/how their sound has changed since Neighborhoods came out.
