Probably wasting my time bothering with this one, but from the gist of what I'm seeing in your posts, you are refusing to see "rap" as music, correct? That's not an opinion, thats just blanketed ignorance.
Music is defined as "the art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion".
In rap MUSIC (regardless of whether you enjoy it or not) there IS a harmonious combining of vocal and instrumental sounds. (Talented rappers even manage to project an expression of emotion, but hey, we'll take this one step at a time)
If you personally do not enjoy rap music, cool, logically there is no room for debate.
To negate rappers as musicians or rap as a genre of music is purely illogical. |
Your logic is flawed because I enjoy Public Enemy, Dr. Dre and Eminem's first 3 LPs.
But okay, God. Whatever you say.
I'll go enjoy my music made by more than someone saying poems into a microphone and a producer creating computer tunes.
