Gen II for me. Personally, it has easily the most re playability value and shares the nostalgia factor the first generation has (albeit less so). Most of all I feel like it introduced all the best mechanics, and everything since has just been tweaks of what it layed down.

II > III > I > V for me. (IV unrated, I've not played it).

Just started my first ever attempt at a Nuzlocke challenge. Using Red version, as it's what I'm most familiar with.
So, as an awesome piece of luck, my first encounter in Viridian forest was a Pikachu. A freakin' Pikachu.

Also naming all my Pokemon after LOST characters in theme with it being a NuzLOCKE challenge (and just 'cause I'm obsessed with LOST). Trainer is Jack, rival is Locke.
Currently team is:
- Sawyer the Bulbasaur
- Kate the Pidgey
- Charlie the Pikachu
Already lost Sayid the Nidoran to a wild Pidgey immediately after catching it.
