That doesn't sound like a very good deal. Sounds like you'd be sick and needing to move out after six months. I rented a house in glorious Rockford, Illinois for $830/mo and it seemed like a steal until we got burglarized and the landlord tried to rip us out of thousands of dollars on the move out (I had to sue just to get my deposit back, had to go to court before he gave me the overpaid rent back). If the price is too good to be true and the property isn't taken care of, chances are the landlord won't take care of you. Run like hell.
