I'm pretty sure Coldplay have stated they're gonna break up or take a massive break after every album they've put out.

Side note: I don't understand all the hate that gets thrown at Coldplay. They're some of the nicest people currently in the music business, and they've yet to put out a bad album (Mylo was good, not up to the level of the past releases, but not bad).

Also, this sucks. Really wanted to see them too.
