people just want him to have said fuckers- it's pretty clear after multiple listens that he said fighters. plus, there's the context clues- no change in his demeanor (you'd expect that he would have blushed or redirected or acknowledged having cursed on national television), there's the fact that his voice is hoarse as all hell, and then the next part of the sentence contains the word 'fight'. it makes more sense to go fighters=fight, than fuckers=fight.
