My tattoo artist and his friends are inking people up and giving the money to charity! Even if you can't go, please spread the word!
On the days and night of October 29 and 30th, Hurricane Sandy tore it's way through the Tri-State area, weaving an incredible path of destruction and devastation. So many lives were impacted by the storm; millions lost power, thousands were evacuated, and hundreds of families lost their homes and businesses. Communities have been torn apart and lives changed forever.
I, along with fellow tattooer Mickey Dee Calligy, have organized Hold Steadfast, in an effort to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. We, tattooers, are a small community, but as a community we as human beings are capable of amazing things.
So, on the day of December 2, 2012, we, as a collective of tattooers and tattoo shops, will be tattooing to raise money that will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. All money raised will be donated to The Red Cross, as well as a few local neighborhood charities in order to help them rebuild their communities.
Tattoos will be done on a walk in basis and will be first come first served. There will several sheet of flash available to choose your tattoo. A list of shops and artists will be posted, as well as design sheets, in the next few days.
So come and join us and be a part of something amazing."
