The worst part is the false equivalency he tries to draw between what she must be going through and what he was going through, in order to form some connection. It was completely insensitive and self-serving. They were not victims of the same crime. He wittingly tried to get close to someone he couldn't so much as verify existed. She unwittingly was being stalked and had her pictures posted all over the internet by someone pretending to be her.
