I feel like they did It Gets Better and Stars as a sort of statement maybe? Just them saying hey look, we can do this song stripped down without losing its musicality. Make sense? Great...
Two other things:
-I love when Nate messes up the words in Stars (around 3:45)
-Queen of Slipstream sounds like The Format, and I LOVE it! Even Nate's voice sounds different, to the point where if you told me this was actually a recording he did 5 years ago, I wouldn't second guess you for a second

They are still probably the worst two songs off Some Nights and that is not saying much for me considering how I felt the whole album to be pretty much mediocre. It is nice to hear some of those songs redone. I prefer this version of Stars over that crappy album version.
It Gets Better's probably the one that's changed the most so if they traded any it shouldn't be that one.
Fair enough. The only thing I like about them playing it live is that they have to strip away some of the (over) production and (unnecessary) effects that make the song unpleasant to me. That being said, I'm willing to give it a shot. Either way, wish there were a few more from Aim and Ignite here.
