A bad game on the tail end of a back to back with a handful of injuries makes you terrible? Haha, okay. The Jackets are on a whole other planet by that logic.
The Red Wings are terrible. They are old and washed up and have no depth. The team I root for being awful for their entire existence has nothing to do with that.
The Blue Jackets had just as many injuries as the Wings, if not more. Two top 4 d men (Wiz, Niktin) one depth d man (Aucoin) a top line forward (Atkinson) and a bottom six forward (Calvert). Plus, the Jackets had Steve Mason in goal and Jared Boll attempting to play hockey for 8 minutes.
Playing in Columbus is like a home game for Detroit, it's like a half hour flight and half of the crowd is wearing Red Wings jerseys and cheering for them. There were people in the crowd with "Happy Birthday Bert" signs.
Also, this is not the first time the teams have played each other this year. Not like Detroit's shoot out win when they were fresh was some dominant performance.
