It has nothing to do with the best of one genre being up against the best of another genre .... it has to do with ignoring genres and looking at the writing as a whole. The music and genre doesn't matter. The writing does.

Yeah it's an op-ed, I saw it posted on another site as news and submitted it here, then felt like a dummy when I read the original article. Was surprised no one had called me out yet.

Obviously so do I as I put him in the same category of favorites ... however, the people I mentioned were when asked about two specific genres and "favorites." Which is a completely (and the original poster made a point to call this out) different topic.
