What's their record label situation? Are they still on SideOneDummy?

Stoked for this. Curious to see what the Kickstarter brings to the table. Odds are good I'll be a contributor.

Given the Kickstarter and the fact that SideOne Dummy released a b-sides/rarities CD in 2012, my guess is that their contract has been fulfilled and they're going independent.

or theyll do it through side one dummy, just on a smaller budget

Hope for S1Ds sake they aren't completely off the label. They are really down to a couple of good bands (Title Fight, Restorations, The Horrible Crowes) after having a whole bunch just a couple of years ago.

Awesome, love these guys.

Their last record wasn't too great compared to Strictly Rude and Fluent In Stroll

Can a person make money with kickstarter? Is it an investment in the project like a movie producer? And you get a percentage of profit depending on your investment?
Or it's just a donation to the band?

I would imagine it varies from project to project, but typically it's used to cover recording/production costs and the like. Of course, the band could always pocket whatever they make that's not required for that.
