For the Fallen Dreams Vocalist Leaves Band

Posted by: Alex DiVincenzo (01/14/13)
For the Fallen Dreams frontman Dylan Richter has left the band. His replacement will be announced soon.
StatementI would first like to start off by saying that the past four and a half years as a member of this band have been the best years of my life. I have met a lot of great people, and I’ve made a lot of great friends. The places I’ve seen along the way, I would have never imagined ever visiting in my whole entire life. This experience would have never been made possible without the members of this group, our fans, friends, families, management, booking agents, and our record labels. Thanks to the endless support of Mike Hocking, Ryan Nelson and everyone at Merch Connection, Craig Ericson of Rise Records, Mike Milford of Artery Recordings, Ash Avildsen, Shawn Keith and The Pantheon Agency, Tom Denney at Diamond Studios, Joey Sturgis at The Foundation Studios, and Fritz Richter.

There comes a point in everyone’s life where they need to make a change. At this point in my life, I need to stay at home with my family and focus on my priorities. I am so grateful that I have been able to affect so many lives through my music and lyrics. Just because I’m parting ways with For the Fallen Dreams does not mean that I am done with music, by any means.

Once again, thank you to everyone that has been there for us since day one. I hope that in one way or another, everyone who this concerns will eventually be able to understand my discontent, and reasons for change.

I'm actually a huge fan of this band. Changes is still my favorite, and Relentless was great too. Still liked Backburner even though it was incredibly generic, and the new one wasn't THAT bad. Even if the original vocalist comes back, the ex-drummer who is now in TGI wrote all of the tunes. At this point, it looks bleak though.

I've always boughten their releases but it's time to hang it up. For me Relentless>Changes>Back Burner>Wasted Youth>FTFD EP. Last 2 releases were ruined by Tom Denney's horrendous production.

i don't see chad coming back. if he does then i guess i'd give them another go, but i think they should just get a new singer, change their sound a little and rename the band if not break up.

I don't think you understand what production is. But yes those albums sucked

Agree with you. I mean, personally I've enjoyed Relentless and Changes more than WY and BB. But I'm pretty sure that both their last two records, with a decent production, would have been better, at least more enjoybale.

I was referring to the quality of the recording of the last two albums, specifically the mixing and mastering. It just sounded muddy and dull.
