Is there any kind of seasoning or condiment you tend to use a lot on food?

This thread's namesake comes from Red Hot's slogan. I enjoy that hot sauce in so many different situations -- cheesesteaks, wings, potatoes, mac and cheese/ramen/rice/other grains, soups, breakfast food, mexican food, and i often use it to add a kick to tomato sauces. it even works as part of seasoning for a meat dish, you're pretty much just adding cayenne pepper and vinegar.

i also love basil in a lot of circumstances.

that stuff is fucking awesome. im not a huge BBQ fan most the time but when i get in that mood, Sweet Baby Ray's is my go to.

Salt 'n' Pepper, Tomato Puree, Basil, Oregano

i always thought salt and pepper were cliche and useless until i really started cooking. both make such a big difference if you use them right

Muenster and Emmentaler are the go to cheeses let's do this

Asiago, Parmesan, + Fontina combination is the perfect combination.

Smoked Gouda is my favorite. i could eat wheels of that by themselves

If it makes sense to have cheese on something, I'm going to put a lot of cheese on it.

I am a former Olive Garden server and that shit is annoying.

but i don't work there anymore and now they hate me hahaha. i used to take the cheese grater with me when i got employee meals

smoked gouda is delicious omg. generally I am more of a fan of savoring the cheese as a main flavor rather than just sprinkling it on top of something tho

i definitely do this sometimes. once i started buying block cheese i never went back to processed individual slices. it's cheaper and its aged better so the flavor is stronger, bologna and cheese became my favorite snack once i started buying Cabot cheese blocks.

cholula i have to stop myself from drinking that stuff sometimes, shit's tasty

only at Ihop for me. and that's only because they don't have Red Hot there. haha.

Been putting hot sauce on stuff since I was 4 or so. It's kinda like water to me at this point.

just the novelty of seeing how much heat you can handle makes hot sauce addictive.

Crab chips are ftw and as to that living in MD thing (I do) I just now noticed how many of my friends and I put old bay on so many things. Haha strange.

it is legitimately a "Maryland thing", which i think is cool (but also obvious since it's most commonly used on crab.) even in neighboring PA or VA, people who use Old Bay regularly are rare and it's probably because someone in their family is from Maryland.
