Lets see if this makes sense. Lupe is not a douche for singing a song that voices his opinion. Hes a douche for doing it and basically protesting there decision to move on to the next act. Do what youd like at your own headlining show but that wasnt his stage. And when people say move on or get off the stage then you do it. Also its really hard to base our opinions on that 1 minute video because he couldve done more than what was shown.

Also, an event doesn't have to be "government sanctioned" for the organizers to be turned off by the content of a message, especially if he's emphasizing it and freestyling the rest.

Regardless of the content, at ANY event, if a performer decided to just play the same song for a half hour+, they would be asked to move on or get off the stage.

And that's what happened here. He was asked to move onto the next song, he refused, and was pulled off stage.

If he got kicked off for a poor performance (which wouldn't be too surprising knowing Lupe these days), then that's just a shame.

if he did that in other countries he would be sentenced to death. Also that was immature and poor behavior. a presidential inauguration is not the place to start that kind of shit.

Dumb move on both parties. Someone should have done more research before booking artists. And as big of a Lupe Fiasco fan as I am, why publicly criticize someone at a party dedicated for him? Yeah, yeah, freedom of speech, but if you're gonna play the same song for thirty minutes in which a lyric involves criticizing the person you're playing for, you're just being a dick.
