As someone who's not at all patriotic for the US I won't deny that this news brought a smile to my face and seems very typical. That said, it's too bad. Not a fan of her whatsoever but she has pipes and it's a shame this was probably out of her control.

i am ok with this. presidential inauguration is pretty much the pinnacle of national anthem singing. there's actual meaning behind it at this point, unlike during professional sports. it should be a notable performance yet nothing should occur that takes the spotlight away from the reason its being sung. if you need to record a perfect track and then sync with it so the audience is none the wiser then so be it.

its a shame that the media is making a huge deal about it.

I was mostly kidding. I too have a huge crush on Kelly and prefer her music over Beyonce, but I'm not one to seriously discount the talent that woman has.

And there should be no doubt she was/is going to lip sync at the Super Bowl. You can't give a performance like she does and sing at the same time.

Who cares? I've seen so many people flub the lyrics to the national anthem, that I would do the same. Learn from Xtina's mistakes tbh. I would rather people whine about me lip-syncing than me being "unpatriotic" for forgetting the words. She's Beyonce. We all know she can sing.

From this video is sounds more like she is singing to a backing track, but I'm not an expert or anything on that stuff.
