Daughters is about girls who put themselves to shame by letting their guard down. Not about every female in general. By the way, adultery/promiscuity, which are the themes in those songs, are choices. Homosexuality is not. Get real.
You're kidding, right? There's absolutely nothing wrong with promiscuity, and to shame people for it is incredibly fucked up. To shame promiscuous members of one gender, while leaving the other out of the picture, is what we call sexism.

If homosexuality was a choice, would it be wrong then?

Getting upset at high school boys who are getting angsty with high school girls is kinda...you know...high school-ish.

There's plenty of bands out there who sing about girls and drunk girls and girls who bang dudes and can still have progressive social equality views.
Like? And do those bands also call out "sluts" at their shows?

Oh, I'm guessing you've never listened to any Taylor Swift song, ever.
And what makes you think I find nothing wrong with her?

Wait, so they actually call girls who attend their shows sluts? I've never actually paid attention to this band before, even though they seem to have a large following on this site...
At a show once, Parker dedicated Mt. Diablo to all the "sluts that don't know how to be faithful to their men." Then there was a huge argument in a thread a while ago about whether this was him shaming people for cheating on their SO's, or "sluts" in general.

I find the word "slut" damaging and inherently sexist, but hey, that's me.

edit: misworded it. actual wording edited in.

Does anybody else find it funny that the person who's arguing so much about TSSF being sexist assholes has them listed as one of her favorite bands on her profile?
You can find comments and lyrics problematic while also appreciating an album for what it is. USAD is an awesome pop punk record. Does that excuse the blatant sexism on two of the songs, or comments made by Parker at shows? Nope.
