I'm glad I started getting into Macklemore after I graduated college because I feel underclassmen would ruin Macklemore for me by overplaying Thrift Shop. This is the same shit that happened with Asher Roth when I was in college when kids would overplay I Love College. Asher is a sick hiphop artist and I Love College was an okay track but it was so abused. Similarly, Thrift Shop is a fun track with a great beat but I check Facebook and these underclassmen at my school are having a THRIFT SHOP PARTY. So fucking stupid, not to mention most college parties involve some thrift shop purchases anyway.
