After two spins, This Is How is already miles better than any of their past work. I couldn't be happier with it. Oh yeah, and here's my ranking:

5) Arrivals and Departures
4) Discovering the Waterfront
3) Rescue
2) Shipwreck in the Sand
1) This is How the Wind Shifts

I don't think Arrivals and Departures should be on there.. Their worst by far in my opinion.
1. Discovering the Waterfront
2. Shipwreck In the Sand
3. When Broken Is Easily Fixed
4. Rescue
5. Short Songs
I haven't heard the new one yet though, so I'm excited about that.

It's hard to place their new record in a top 5, since I've only listened to it like 7 times, so although I've been enjoying it a lot, I'll leave it out of my top. anyway, Discovering the Waterfront has been one of my favourite records ever for a few years, so it'll easily take the first place for me.

1 - Discovering the Waterfront
2 - A Shipwreck in the Sand
3 - Rescue
4 - Arrivals and Departures
5 - Short Songs
6 - When Broken is Easily Fixed

I can totally understand not ranking TIHTWS because it's so new. I felt comfortable doing so because I have had the album for about 2 and a half months now haha

At Warped Tour in 2004, I skipped Thursday to see them cause I was beating Smashed Into Pieces to death. It was the first set I was ever at we're there was so much energy and movement by the band and the crowd, there were probably like 100 people watching. Such a great memory. Too bad I really haven't listened to them since that album. And yes I skipped Thursday cause I've seen them headline plenty.

I just can't believe Rescue isn't on here. That record is so mature and well produced. I think it's #1 for me, honestly.
Agreed. Although I would place it 2nd below their newest album, TIHTWS.

One of the most important bands I've ever listened. They're responsible for so much of what I listen to today. I still haven't listened to the new album as I am waiting for my preorder, but I can't wait to hear it.

1.) Discovering the Waterfront
2.) Short Songs
3.) A Shipwreck in the Sand
4.) Rescue
5.) Arrivals and Departures
6.) When Broken is Easily Fixed

pumped to see them get some serious recognition around here. I heaven't heard the new album enough to place it, but I think Discovering and Shipwreck are tied for my favorites right now.

I have no experience with their back catalog--something I plan on doing today--but I totally agree with your assessment of how good TIHTWS is. I'm loving that album so much right now.
