What I mean by building hype is that they already have a set day that they will offically have new music out. Till then will be filled with interviews. Everything move they make between now and may and even after will be contributing to the hype.

I live how they did it on their terms. The reuniting/show/tour dates/album/song/video thing was the best way to surprise and please their fans.

What I love about Fall Out Boy is they create an air of excitement and culture around them, that helps develop the same for the bands around them. I think the problem is, Blink just don't fit in the mainstream category like they used to, which is a really good thing for most of you. Where as Fall Out Boy are adaptable and I think mainstream attention on FOB is a great thing for bands everywhere.

Dashboard Confessional? The Rocket Summer? Midtown? P!ATD? He works with some bad pop acts, but he's done some great albums and has worked with FOB before some. I think he's going to do a pretty good job with them.

you ever heard the academy is' santi? midtown's FWYK? even PATD's vices and virtues - thought butch did a great job on all of those.

I basically agree with everyone who stated that FOB did their return better than Blink because they had something marketable when they announced the reunion. I'm rather impressed that they were able to actually keep this thing under wraps.
