ABSOLUTExclusive: Vinnie On The Road Tour Diary #2

Posted by - 08:17 AM on 02/15/13
Last Friday, we premiered the first part of Vinnie Caruana's tour blog. He's been on the road with travelmates Geoff Rickly (Thursday), Koji, Brian Marquis, and A Loss For Words. In this entry, Vinnie talks about reciprocal appreciation among music artists and their fans. You can read more in the replies, and also check out various photos from their Acoustic Basement Tour. And, if you haven't heard it yet, please check out City By the Sea, Vinnie's acoustic solo debut.

Vinnie On The Road
"Since I've checked in, we've traveled half way across the country playing shows across upstate New York, PA, OH , MI , Chi-town, and St Louis. We are all in full swing and loving every minute of it. This tour has had a really special effect on a lot of people. We've gotten to speak with so many people at the shows and I can tell that means a lot. It should always be that way."

"If you feel separated or alienated from artists you support, you should reconsider your loyalty to them. We are real people who always have time to talk and hear what you have to say. Accept nothing less. I'm starting to see the impact of City by the Sea at the shows. I see it growing and I feel us connecting even more than ever. Thanks for always letting me into your ears and heart. VC"

Had the opportunity to open the St. Louis date with my band Blackwater '64 and had an incredible time. Everybody on this tour seems very genuine and kind hearted. It sounds kind of hippy-ish, but I felt a kindred vibe all night. The sets were all intimate, but full of energy at the same time. Geoff's set was great. I'm digging Vinnie's solo stuff. That singer for A Loss for Words sang his heart out. Brian Marquis voice sounded so full and nice on the mic, and Koji was a treat.
