The Things We Think We're Missing
This band is one of my guilty pleasures.

Press ReleaseMar 7 - Melbourne, Australia's House Vs. Hurricane has signed to Equal Vision Records and partnered with Alternative Press for the release of their new music video for "40 Deep".
"Equal Vision Records has released some of our favorite and most inspiring records," guitarist Chris Shaw shares. "As far as US labels go, this has always been our preferred home. It's a huge honour for us to be part of the EVR family and we cannot wait to get over to North America to meet the fans this amazing label has delivered music to for so long. We hope you all love our new video for "40 Deep"!
House Vs. Hurricane is comprised of Shaw, Dan Casey (vocals), Ryan McLerie (vocals/guitar), Dylan Stark (bass), and Sam Osborne (drums).
The song "40 Deep" comes from Crooked Teeth, the band's full-length album that was recently released in Australia and New Zealand via UNFD and will soon be released in the US and Canada later this year via Equal Vision Records. Crooked Teeth was recorded in Belleville, NJ with producer Machine [Chiodos, Miss May I, Lamb of God] and merges the band’s ability to pen soaring choruses with intense technical passages, while combining ambient beauty with crushing breakdown to devastating effect. The band has toured extensively throughout Australia and UK/Europe with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, Enter Shikari and The Amity Affliction.
House Vs. Hurricane will next embark on a European support tour with For The Fallen Dreams, Dream on Dreamer and No Bragging Rights; Followed by an Australian headline run. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.

Their newer stuff sounds a lot like Alexisonfire without the beauty of Dallas Green of course.

Basically, this band RULES.

This band is actually REALLY good! Was not expecting that at all. They don't bring anything "new" per se, but what they do offer is so much more tight sounding than most other bands attempting it.

My mate supported this band, but I never realise how big they were back in Aus until recently. Solid band.

Now we are all sons of bitches
I'd like to hear a bit more range vocally, and this isn't really untrodden ground musically, but this band seems pretty spot-on technically, and reminds me of some good bands like Oh, Sleeper and Misery Signals. Equal Vision usually signs solid bands.

Wait, these guys didn't have a North American label? Damn, they're pretty big internationally, just assumed someone would have picked them up by now.

I remember when I loved this song so much.. They sound like a totally different band now haha, no more cheesy synths ala 2:19.....
