I think this sentence was intended to be douchey but all it's really saying is: "It seems like a large portion of people that like Donuts and Muffins like Cake" |
It was more a douchey way of saying; "A lot of people that rave on about these 2 or 3 artists are completely closed off to the idea of getting into more hip hop, and this bums me out, because it could be a gateway to a whole new and wonderful area of music for them."
Which is fine, sometimes you enjoy a few things from a genre you usually don't care for, but the cynic in me thinks they're just trend hoppers and aren't actually interested in the music itself, just the idea of the artist's personalities (Kitty - quirky indie girl rapping, Lil B - the whole based thing) and the hype around them.
